Power
The 2022 F-150 Lightning’s driving range is 230-300 miles per charge depending on trim level. The standard range level is equipped with 2 electric motors that produce 426 horsepower and the extended range can reach up to 563 hp. Torque is estimated at 775 lbs ft. In the case of no available charging stations while traveling, a removable range extender motor is offered to assist truck owners in a tough spot. At home, the Lightning utilizes a 32 amp charger that can be powered by a traditional 120-volt or 240-volt outlet and the option to upgrade to an 80 amp Charge Station Pro that charges in 8 hours instead of 20. The RST adds an adaptive air suspension and optional 24-inch tires while the Trail Boss gets a locking differential and all-terrain tires. The Lightning’s power-operated “front trunk” or frunk is roomy enough to fit 2 golf bags plus extra storage underneath a latch in the floor. It has a drain for ice and 4 household plug-ins that make it ideal for tailgating...in the front.
